DIVINE EXPRESSIONS SENIOR DANCE TEAM (Ages 17 & up)

If interested in joining DEM Team of worshipers Dance Team - Foundational I, Congregational I, Ballet I, and modern dance will be required and the recommendation letter from one of the dance instructors. There will also be a 3-month probation period to evaluate progress of potential DEM dancer. Potential dancer must be a member at a home church. The dancer must have an irreproachable testimony, set apart for ministry, no secular dancing, or involvement in anything that would compromise the reputation of individual dancer and DEM Ministry.

Upon completion of 3 months probation, potential DEM dancer will be participating with the Congregational Praise Dance Team in outside ministry. During the 3 months probationary period there will be $50.00 per month for classes, upon acceptance to the company dues change to $12.00 per month. Attendance to scheduled Ministerial Leadership Classes will be required. Note: For those dancers coming in from outside of DEM structure a dance audition will be required. At the time of audition, we will need a professional headshot and dance resume/biographic information.

JUNIOR DANCE COMPANY

Must complete Foundational I, Congregational, while in Jr. Company must take a jazz I and modern dance I class to transition to Senior Team.  Complete a 3-month probationary period with DEM. Must be a faithful member of a local church. Dancers must be committed to a Godly lifestyle and behavior. During the 3-month probationary period there will be $50.00 fee per month, upon acceptance to the company dues change to $12.00 per month. Attendance to scheduled Ministerial Leadership Classes twice a year and attend the Annual DEM In-house Retreat

DEM MIME TEAM



Mime I and II are a prerequisite and a recommendation letter from a Mime Instructor. Potential Mime must be a member of a home church. There will also be a 3-month probation period for evaluation before entry.  During the 3-month probationary period there will be $50.00 fee per month, upon acceptance to the Mime Team dues change to $12.00 per month. Attendance to scheduled Ministerial Leadership Classes will be required. 

DEM TEACHER APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM (18-week Program – one day per week)

1. Taken DEM Foundational Class - Scriptural teaching on Dance – sit in on classes for observation purposes –observe teaching styles and assist
2. DEM 3-month probation completed -
3. Participate in all DEM dance engagements in supportive service.
4. Come under one of the instructors for training and mentoring in their selected area of dance – must commit to a class for a semester and assist in class teaching.
5. During probation period there will be a $50.00 monthly due required. Upon completing the Apprenticeship Program monthly dues will be $12.00
6. Serve DEM functions when needed.

DANCE INSTRUCTOR’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (18 Weeks)

The specifics of individual internships vary, but all involve some form of placement in an operational setting. Internships provide students with real-world work experience in an area of interest or concentration while receiving credit toward their certificate.

1. Must have completed Apprenticeship Program.
2. Assist the Foundational I instructor for 1 semester and instruct a class under the supervision of the main teacher
3. Monthly dues of $25.00
4. Take a Teachers Management Class
5. Work in administration
